Dxv Modulus (Bathroom Collection) by Debbie Drury
2017 - 2018, Platinum A' Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware Design Award Winner
The design goal was to craft a modern luxury suite that highlighted an urban point of view and offered minimalistic yet functional design for master baths and powder rooms. We aimed for a warm, inviting vibe, emphasizing sleek lines and pure forms to appeal to affluent city-dwellers and high-end hospitality specifiers. A key objective was to provide maximum installation flexibility for residential and commercial spaces with innovative storage solutions showcasing unique material composition.
DXV Modulus Collection is a dramatic achievement of functional elegance, and breathless style that serves without sacrificing. It offers infinite possibilities and endless configurations, in a range of materials and finishes, all from one modular and flexible system to enable you to design a space as unique as the people who use it.
Design Challenges
The Modern design era was a time of experimentation, of using new materials and finishes. We looked at great architectural icons such as the Glass House, the Lever House, etc., for their pioneering designs. This was our inspiration and starting point.
Production Technology
DXV Modulus sinks and shower bases highlight on-trend solid surface construction; sinks are also offered in an engaging concrete model. Furniture pieces are constructed from natural oak wood veneers; vanities and wall-mount drawers feature genuine nubuck leather pull handles. Lavatory faucets feature cast brass spouts and side valves, and also include a decorative brass ring at the base to offer a distinctive, two-toned aesthetic by adding a contrasting polished chrome or brushed nickel highlight.
